El 19 de diciembre de 1920 se estrenó Fantomas, dirigida por Edward Sedgwick y protagonizada por Edward Roseman, Edna Murphy, Johnnie Walker, Lionel Adams, John Willard, Eve Balfour, Rena Parker, Irving Brooks, Ben Walker, Henry Armetta, Rita Rogan. Producida y distribuida por Fox Film Corporation.

Sinopsis argumental: Serial compuesto de 20 episodios. Fantomas ofrece un trato a las autoridades de la ciudad, en forma de amnistía por sus pasados crímenes a cambio de no continuar con su vida delictiva. Como la policía se niega a cumpir tal condición, el archi-delincuente se dedica a cometer todo tipo de actos criminales.
